For years I've used Xrite I1 profiler display tto calibrate my monitor for use with my editing job using Photoshop. I profiler software includes a program that loads in the system tray to monitor it's status. Lately for some reason the program won't load the startup app which is located at C:\Users\Steven\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup as I1profiler tray shortcut. An Xrite tech called and logged into my system trying several scenarios like setting the app to, "run as administrator. At the time we even tried running it after booting to no avail. I recently tried again and now it does run when I double click on it and the tray app loads. However I'd like to know why it fails to run at startup. Have disabled all antivirus and any other self loading programs. Any ideas would be appreciated. TIA
First, enable your security programs again. I really don't know why. If me, I would probably uninstall the program and reinstall it and see what happens - but only if you REALLY need it start with Windows. Generally you should keep those to a minimum and only for programs you use every day.
