I work on WinXP and IE8
I received some flv files on a usb flash drive. The video shows OK but without the voice.
I found two of the same files on the Internet and opened them with the speech in full, downloaded to my HD and played again without problems.
I suspected that the flash drive is faulty so I checked it on another computer and there it worked correctly too, with the video and voice, but on my computer no sound can be hear when working directly from the flash drive.
What can be the problem and how to proceed to resolve it
    Please advise

That is odd. If you copy those files from the flash drive to your computer, then play them from your computer, does sound work?

You say you received these files on a flash drive - did you scan the drive for malware before trying to play the files?
