I am not quite sure where I should put this but I will first start here. Before I get to the specs I just want to give you guys a synopsis of the problem. 1. I have built my own machine to begin with. 2. The main issue I have noticed is the games I play run incredibly poor. 3 Games used to run incredibly well on this computer. They didnt start out running poor. 4. As an example, Battlefield 3 used to run at 60-70 frames per second but now runs at 20-30 frames per second 5. This is the case for all games that I run (all used to run good but now they suffer from terrible frames) 6. Even moving from one internet explorer page to another seems to take longer to load (although this is not as noticeable 7. I do use nod 32 and have run scans with that without finding anything I tried to run that hardware scanner but it did not work A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_UNCAUGHT_CXX_EXCEPTION (0xe06d7363) at pc=0x752dc41f, pid=8016, tid=13132 # # JRE version: 7.0_17-b02 # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (23.7-b01 mixed mode, sharing windows-x86 ) # Problematic frame: # C [KERNELBASE.dll+0xc41f] RaiseException+0x58 # # Failed to write core dump. I am not a gamer but my son is and he runs at least 10GB RAM. I read under General info and under Video Card Here is Specy, a very good software program showing you and us about your computer. Lets see what Specy tell you about your system. You can test your Java here Others will come by with much more information to help. kind regards,
Thanks for the reply tallin. How about your temp files, have you cleared them - CCleaner. Please do not use the registry section of CCleaner, we do not recommend it. I see you have adequate RAM Did you uninstall Java and install the latest version and test again? Best we wait for Digerati or Zhuker to come by as they are the experts in your field on here. Best regards,
I found this link, Improve your Computer Gaming Performance. Some of it maybe a help to you. kind regards,
Thanks Tallin I will look this over but I think it may be a bigger problem then just video game performance. I think the poor performance in game is just a microcosm of a greater issue with my machine. Everything feels sluggish. I is just more prenounced while gaming.
I ran the speccy program and I noticed something that may be a major issue. My motherboard is running at 28 degrees celcius while my CPU is at 100 degrees celcius right now. I am no computer expert but this seems incredibly high temperatue. This is without me gaming as well. This is just normal browsing the web. *EDIT* I just cleaned out the dust on my cpu and and the case and the temperature now reads 59 degrees celcius. This still seems high though.
???? above ????? above Cleaning out your tower was my next question. Did you try to run your games again - and if so is there an improvement? Let us know how your computer is running now. kind regards,
I cleaned out my temp folder but I just tested out the frame rate and the 3d mark test and it is definitely improved big time. I think this is because my cpu was running at 100 degrees celsius. Now it is running at 60 degrees. For example, I played Battlefield 3 and previously I was getting around 20 frames. Now that I cleaned out my case I am getting 70-80 frames. I think that this case can be closed. In the future I will dust out my machine more often.
Excellent - I suggest you clean out your tower once a month would be a good move. Glad you have solved your issue. kind regards,
