Audio wifi dead!!

    I have HP pavillion laptop.I owned Vista OS.And one day I open my system it suddenly became basic by itself.All the visual features are like windows 98.Wi fi stopped working audio hardware says its not working and shows mute by itself.I tried to format but its not reading dvd also.I also downloaded drivers, installed them but all look same.All the files are safe but nothing working.PLEASE HELP!!

    Something sure happened. Your video sounds like it disable the advanced Aero features - a common symptom when graphics drivers, or graphics hardware is having problems. But with your Wifi and audio gone too, perhaps your power supply is having problems.

    It is good your files are safe (assuming you mean you have a good copy saved on a different drive or disks). For the computer to read the DVD first (before trying to boot to the HD) you need to enter the BIOS Setup Menu and set the CD/DVD device ahead of the disk drive in the boot order. Then boot with the disk in the drive and watch the lower left corner for a prompt to press a key to boot from DVD.

    However, I would try HP Recovery first.
