Hello Im just learning the basics of HTML and CSS and am in the process of writing my own website. I am stuck with the form section of my site and having spent a full day researching its way beyond my level of understanding especially when Javascript and PHP comes in. I have found that there are a load of online form providers but am a bit wary of what they do and how they do it. I created a perfect 'contact me' form within minutes but as any personal data entered by a user goes via their site to get to me im not convinced that all this data will be captured and distributed. Realistically how hard is it to create a simple contact me form, does it need to involve javascript etc and how difficult is the PHP (or whatever i would need to get the user input emailed to me) all i want is a basic but neatly formated form (everything nicely lined up) and simple submission confirmation, with the details coming to my web account email adresses. cheers
Have you got you own hosting? If so I would recommend using Wordpress for your site. It;s not just a blogging platform but an easy to use content management system. There are thousands of pre-made plugins like "Contact form 7" which does everything for you. If you have web space already you can download and install Wordpress in minutes. WordPress › Download
No i dont host myself, i use a uk based provider. Im way out of my depth here when you start talking about MySQL etc and think i need to pay somebody who knows what they are doing. thanks anyway
That may well be your best bet. Fire me an email using the contact form on this Website or Private Message me and I will see if I can help you out.
I have contatcted a local web developer who is happy for me the build my bit then he will add a form later. Thanks
