Installing Windows 7 on multiple computers

Some users may have for example have a Laptop and a desktop PC and wish to install Windows 7 on both of them. Your licence of Windows 7 allows you to install it on one PC or one Laptop, not both. That licence of Windows 7 can only be installed on one machine at any time however if you wish you could uninstall it from one PC and install it on the laptop.

If you wish to install Windows 7 on more than one PC you will be required to purchase another licence.

The exception would be copies that explicitly say that they are for multiple computers. For example NewEgg sells some 3 pack OEM licenses. Such licenses can legally be installed on 3 computers however technically an OEM license is only suppose to be sold to system builders, those that are building and selling computers. Most people will only buy single system licenses.
