How to delete files permanently?

    Hi Friends,
    I have some personal file which I want to delete it permanently, can any one guide me how to permanently delete files from my hard disk without trace?
    please help.

    to delete a file permanantly. you have to select that file nad press shift+del. and the file will get deleted permanantly

    Actually "shift+del" will delete the file from windows view but this file can be retrived. Deleting a file will just delete the marker to the file on the hard drive and not the actual data.

    To delete your files completely without leaving any trace you can use this software:
