Hi, although my internet connection is registering as fine and working on other computers in the house, I am having problems connecting to the net on my iMac. I can't send emails (but can receive them) and for example I can log on to Facebook but then can't access my Inbox or reply to comments, or I can log in to my bank account but can't access transactions. After a long wait while it's loading there is an error message saying the connection has been dropped. I have tried re-launching Safari, and deleting then adding the email address again, which works for about an hour then they start playing up again.
Any suggestions or help very much appreciated thanks.

I don't believe that we have any "regulars" that are mac users; I most certainly am not. Our closest would be our Linux user. I'm sure that there are Mac oriented forums. Good luck.

Are you using wireless connection on your iMac? Or is it physically wired to your modem or router? You could try to download Mozilla Firefox for Mac and use it for the meantime and check it if it's doing the same thing. There are times that if you're connected through a wireless connection on your Mac, it's one possibility that might causing it due to wireless interference. If it's wired and you said that the Internet seems to be okay, you are able to receive emails but can't send, it may have something to do with the outgoing mail server on your email client.
