Hello, I accidentally deleted my audio driver. It was 'Realtek high definition audio driver'. I'm using windows XP, I already tried to download some things, but I can't get any further with it. I have an apple macbook, sounds works on macintosh. Can someone help me, please? Thanks in advance.
Without knowing your motherboard make/manufacturer . It will be hard to point you to the correct driver.

Have you tried installing this one for Windows XP? Download Realtek High Definition Audio Driver, Realtek High Definition Audio Driver 2.08 Download
Make sure any previous drivers you tried to install are uninstalled first before you install this one. You can inflict a driver conflict by failing to uninstall previous driver.
I downloaded it, I installed it. But there is still no sound. Is there something else I still have to do? Connect it, or whatever?
I am not a Windows user or own a Mac . Have you found a volume mixer xontrol center and check to see if sound is muted, turned down etc?
If I want to go to the volume control it says: There is no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to control panel, click printers and other hardware, and then click Add hardware. So, I really don't know what to do. But thanks for your help!
I'm not a mac user either but have you tried a restore point to before you deleted the driver? How did you install the drivers on XP in the first place?
See this. Before you go any further I would try a system restore pint. Start menu, all programs, accessories, system tools, system restore. Good luck.
I can only do a system restore for today, so that doesn't help I'll take a look at the links you gave. Thanks!
