Today I downloaded something I shouldn't have. Sent my av into an endless tailspins and the computer nearly froze, all sorts of things stopped working. Half my apps no longer responded to their shortcuts.
I decided a fresh install of the OS was my only option.
Every time I try to installed to Disk 2 Partition 1 I get error 0x080300024. The drive is an SSD I don't know if that makes a difference. I have tried installing to an unallocated partition, a new partition and the original system partition all with the same result. There are no other partitions on that drive. I have gotten past this problem before on a second computer using a conventional HDD but this time and I am stumped.

Disconnect all the other drives. Re-partition the SSD (I would have only one partition) and see what happens.
