    Hello everyone.....

Soon I'll be buying a home security system from a Calgary-based company. Can any help me out to find what contact id protocol for alarm system communications usually used? Is it possible to set up my alarm for Contact ID communication protocol manually?
In case, if the internet goes out, how does these alarm system work? Is there anyone out here who has basic technicality knowledge on alarm systems.

If you search for home security forums, I am sure you will find someone who can provide more complete help. I can say to your last question, however, if the Internet goes out, generally an audible alarm is still sounded and often flashing lights to alert neighbors. Some are also tied to cell phone systems so it would not matter if connection to the Internet was lost.
