I presume you get this problem everytime you accesses to the IE...but can you still surf the web, or once you open the IE it freezes and unable to do anything??

My guess is that your PC might be infected by the virus and or hijacking programs. Have you installed Anti-virus software before, if not there are lots of website that let you install for free, but one of the website called Majorgeek offers lots of anti-virus, or internet security program options where you can choose from, so just click on the link below:

Refer to the thread "Trojan Horse Downloader". Good advice here. Refer to posts by Nirvana and Putasolutions.

Yeah, you've definitely got something dodgy there. You MUST keep up-to-date anti-virus software running all the time .... but, even so, you might find that an anti-virus scan doesn't resolve this problem.

As Hillbill says, it sounds like a trojan horse or whatever other name they now have to mean "something that has infected your system and is now going to try and run some stuff that will damage or steal your data".

Don't try and use secure stuff (such as online banking or other password-protected web-enabled applications) until you've got this sorted as you might have a "password logger" running amongst this lot as well

i agree with all of the above, definitely clean your cache and cookies and perform a virus scan, i use all of the "cleaning" options available to me on my pc, but i also bought the "Norton SystemWorks 2003" CD for even better cleaning of my system. But i must warn you, that you might not be able to install the systemworks on your computer if you have Windows XP. I have xp and i just simply run the disk and use it like that instead of installing it, we'll thats my suggestions but im no expert, yet at least take care
