    Red face blue screen

I just had a blue screen when i logged on. It flashed too fast for me to read, but when it restarted by itself it stopped at another blue screen and said it was checking the G: drive "FAT32" it said it was ok. Then I had a problem with my ad-aware and tried to fix it via my add/remove but it still wouldn't download the current files so i uninstalled and restarted. This time I got the blue screen again and it restarted. I got a message each time that said that my system has recovered from a serious problem or issue or whatever. Any help? Thanks.

To get a detailed error message if it crashes again:

You can turn off the feature that instructs XP to autostart on system
failure. Right click on My Computer and select Properties->Advanced
    Tab->Startup & Recovery section->Settings button->uncheck "Automatically
restart" Apply. This will give you a blue screen with info on it and you
will have to manually restart the computer. The info might give you an idea
whether or not the problem is hardware or software related.

The recovery screen is common after a crash, asking how you want to proceed.

RAM is quite often an issue with problems like these, but it would be good to get detailed error messages.

Go to Start > Run (type in) eventvwr.msc
Look under the 3 tabs for red X that coincide with crash, double click entries for details, then post back as much detail on messages as you can.

Have you made any new hardware or software changes recently?

    Any problems before this?

madmikejt12, yeah after I had the blue screens I tried to scan my system and when I tried to update it said it had corrupt this or that and couldn't continue so I tried to fix it and it didn't help so I uninstalled and will reinstall.

Ok, I just restarted and this time no blue screen. I was looking for the red x and found that last night I had alot of errors, which is when I started to worry since I was having memory problems last night. But I didn't find any problems when I did a virus check. But I just looked and for my first blue screen around 3 the information says

I also keep getting a %systemroot%\system\dumprep 0 -k from my patrol thing on my computer. i'm really lost and don't know what to do. thanks for your time. I didn't have any problems like this before. Just with spyware and midaddle but I was helped with those here before. my most recent download was CCleaner and I haven't used that for at least a week I think.

just for a quick check go to Start > Run (type in) msconfig
go to Startup & just see if Quicken & The VAIO Media Photo Server
are there, then just cancel out of that window, dont change anything at this time.

    Ok, so far I found
billminder C:\PROGRA~1\Quicken\billnind.exe -startup and it says common startup
Quicken Scheduled Updates C:\PROGRA~1\Quicken\bagent.exe common startup
    Quicken startup C:\PROGRA~1\Quicken\QWDLLS.EXE common startup

I didn't find the vaio one though.
