I really need help. I shared this computer with my dad, and what I saw was that my dad clicked on many popups and advertisments because he's not anyhow up to computer.

So my computer got many viruses and now, I can't open Norton, I can't open Control Panel, I can't open My Computer, and I can't open anything except Firefox in the start menu.

All I want is to reconfig the computer. And my dad won't be using this computer anymore. But the problem is I can't click anything, how am I suppose to reconfig the computer?

other wise you may wanna try booting from cd-rom
if you have a virus these options may not help

as I say I'm guessing...I just have to try and help a lonely girl.....

Short of doing a clean install, which will totally wipe your drive, you're going to want to clean up that machine. Here is the best way via this forum:

Please follow all of Owen's instructions HERE once you have completed that post your log on the Spyware, Adware and Viruses board.

Assuming you can download via Firefox. If you have problems running the apps after download then try to run in Safe Mode. (Click F8 before windows boots & choose to open in Safe Mode).
