Having problems with scrolling on web pages & video games

Hope someone can help me, I recently reformatted and now when I try to scroll I get this wavy effect when scrolling or just moving around on a video game. I tried reformatting again but it is still doing it. Is very frustrating because my son cannot play his pc games now. I just want to get back to the regular scroll with no wavy effects type thing on there. Thanks.

Are you sure the refresh rate is set correctly for your monitor? What monitor do you have.

Should normally be around 75 Htz

Graphics card drivers? Try downloading the latest versions ..... just in case the drivers that you thought were the right ones turn out to be a bit dodgy. If you need help with that, let us know

    Also, go into:

    Control Panel
    Display
    Settings tab
    Advanced button
    Troubleshooting tab

See if 'Hardware acceleration' is set to Full. It probably is. Try reducing it (try somewhere in the middle first of all). Make any difference?

What kind of graphic card you are using? I've had exactly the same problem - when I was scrolling down the website it was kind of lagging. Reinstalling my graphic drivers fixed that problem.

Please tell me that you figured this problem out because I have the same problem. This has happened before and I fixed it but forgot where I went and what I did. If you have any answers I would certainly appreciate any feedback. Thanks so much.

I am about to give up on this same problem, have tried everything - my screen is wavy, rippling up and down on websites, and I am getting sick looking at it!

I don't know if this is hardware, such as settings on my monitor, or software, such as mouse - I have tried adjusting every possible thing and can't get my display to behave the way it used to, a few weeks ago...and I don't remember anything about when it started happening or why...

When I use the mouse wheel, it rolls in large blobby waves, and when I use the scroll bar, the same - if I click the mouse on the scroll bar, the page will take off rolling up or down, sometimes way past the line or point I wanted to stop, so it is imprecise and it is literally making me ill, like dizzy, to sit here and try to see. On Outlook, if I delete an email, there is a big wave.

In other words, the screen goes jump-jump-jump-jump....which is annoying!

I have adjusted the monitor, whatever I could find in display properties, changed the mouse, reinstalled mouse software - etc etc...Have pretty much ruled out drivers as the problem...Any new ideas?
    Thanks
