ok... just to clarify: when you booted from the XP cd & chose to setup & chose to format you got an error like this:
"well i couldnt delete the partition while i was installing XP, because the setup needs that to continue to install"
can you try again & copy an exact error message? you really should be able to format off that disk.
I will look up your floppy error.
Also if the CD wont format see if you can format from my computer: quick format.

ok... you need to format the floppy first; quick format; and then create a MS_DOS startup disk

k so heres the scoop
i have put in the pro disk restarted, and then it poped up i hit enter... and it asked me if i accepted the terms hit F8... well i never got this before so i found this out
i have 2 pros and one home... i will put in the other pro and tell u all about it ok?

also I found a download of Fdisk which is what that 10b @ michael stevens was refering to. It also requires making a boot floppy.

well i dont know.... i put in all three disks and seed what happened, and they all did the same thing; they all went to agree to terms, etc.....
but the last one didnt, it just caused me problems.....but now it works
i think it might be because of something i might have done in the setup earlier?
