for the past few days i have noticed that it is taking much longer to start up. After i enter the password, after the startup music and the destop background and taskbar comes, the icons come a long time later... there is a major delay, which worries me very much!

please help D-A-L!!!

yes i have...
i have been doing a lot of uninstalling and re-installing...

why?
is that the reason?
is that bad?

Should/can i use System Restore?

i always thought that that might be a good thing but i never did it...

Yeah you could try a system restore to a date when the computer was working correctly. Let us know how it goes please.
