Icons on destop
when changing the backgroud image of the desktop to a default [given image] then things are fine, but only before it is changed. after it is changed, i no longer know how to change it back!
by 'it', i am referring to: you know on the icons on the desktop [windows XP], well, you know the color surrounding the icon image? when the desktop image's color and the icon surrounding/background color is different it looks so untidy and messy! when to colors clash... ya know?
what i want to change it back to, is the default transparent color which was great! but i can't find the way to do it!!!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!
D-A-L, I need you...
Thanks,
Amer

Rt. click My Computer, then click Properties, Advanced, Performance settings, then the Visual Effects tab:
Check off Use Drop Shadows for Icon Labels on the desktop;
or select Adjust for best appearance which will do the same.
Also in conjunction to the above setting, right click your desktop, then
arrange icons, and make sure lock items to web desktop is not checked
off.
