DJ: Made sure I had the updated drivers. No success with that. Comprimised this week end. Got the printer to work thru a USB/Centronixs adapter. Cann't print in the older accounting program (although I can from my laptop). I'm goling to update the 2 clients on that program to a newer program. Still would like to know the cause of this, plus we cann't hook up any printers thru the parallel ports. Didn' get back to this thread for a couple of days. I hit a moose on my way home Saturday.Kinda screwed up my schedule for awhile. BTW whats a mini?
LOL ! Can't say I've ever come across a moose where I live!Originally Posted by hillbill

The Mini is a flagstone of British heritage. Mine is 25 years old, has done 116,000 miles, has been quite highly tuned ..... and there's hardly anything on the car that hasn't been replaced with a new one since I've had it - soooooo much fun !![]()
This is a good point. I've had problem like this. One computer with windows98 had Brother printer plugged in and other computer (winXP) was working with that computer in the network so XP computer automatically installed win98 drivers over the network and printer on XP seemed to be installed properly, but wasn't printing. Second thing that win98 driver was causing on winXP was freezeing Ms Word XP. Installing WinXP driver on WinXP machine fixed the problem and since that time everything works perfect.Originally Posted by DJNafey
Problem resolved. Brought in the "Pro from Dover". After several hours of delving into system, he discovered that the printer stacks were "seriously buggered". Repaired the stacks, re-installed printer, everything works great! Thanks for everyone's input!!!
