I need some help. I have been all over Google trying to find this answer. I have found many people with the problem, but no one has posted an answer to it.
I have a compaq laptop running Windows XP Home. It went to sleep one day, and when I woke it up, it asked me to enter a password. None of my accounts have passwords, so I just hit enter. It then told me that, "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively." I restarted in Safe mode, trying to logon through Administrator, which also has no password. Same error response.
I inserted the Windows XP Home CD, started up from it, and did "Windows Set Up" and then "Repair." It went through the whole 39 minute installation where it proceeded to reinstall everything. When it was done, it brought me back to my login screen with my normal user names on it...asking for a password. I hit enter, without putting a password in, and...once again, "The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively."
Can someone help me with this? I can't do anything with my computer! I'm completely locked out. Thanks.

Any suggestions?
Usually with Windows system passwords I use "Passware" password brakers - there is one especially for windows - what it does is it makes a floppy which you use during the booting up the system (from win cd) and removes/changes the password - maybe try that?
