i have a very strange problem here, one of my users runs windows Xp Pro connected to a windows 2000 Server network and domain.
recently there has been problems launching applications, one in particular.

when the application is launched, you can see it start in the task manager, but nothing ever appears on the screen. i suspect this is something to do with the local profile on the laptop, as i can log on to another PC as this user and run the app OK.

Any help on this would be fantastic!

This is a bit of a long shot, but have you checked the permissions for this user on the local drive?
