Recently, using WinXP Home edition & IE ver 6, when I click on a url in a document It no longer takes me to that site I have to copy shortcut and paste in address bar, although on a site clicking on hypertext links works.
Any thoughts?

Try this first

Go to Start | Run
type in the following:

regsvr32 urlmon.dll

Click Ok

Solved this one myself. Problem was spyware/malware, it was redirecting my browser IE6, I found it using SpyBot, then removed it. SpyBot recommended and it is Freeware!
