Graphics Glitch after Service Pack 2

I have a PC that started glitching out after or around when Service Pack 2 was installed. It is running the following:
    Intel 2.2Ghz
    Intel Motherboard
    NVidia GForce 4 4200
Using the digital connection to a Hyundai LCD Monitor
    Norton Internet Security 2004

So everything was fine before and now, it would seem mostly random, it will freeze up and a bunch of vertical bars of dashed lines on the edges of all the open windows. The only place I can get it to happen consistantly it when I do anything with Norton AntiVirus. I can open the Security Center, but as soon as I click on the Anti-Virus tab it happens. If I start scanning a folder for viruses, it will happen. Occasionaly it will happen at other points in the middle of using a program, but it is never right as I bring it up the way it is with the anit-virus. I have tried setting up the XP Security to link up with norton, not link up with norton, be disabled, I have even uninstalled SP2 and restored back to the way it was before and it is persistant. I have installed all the recent drivers. My only other guess is to try and go back to the VGA connection to the monitor rather than the digital. I am completly stumped. Has anyone else seen this happen, let alone solved it?

    Help

There are many posted problems with various aspects of Norton & SP2.

Did you disable Norton while either installing or uninstalling SP2?

Have you checked your Device Manager for errors?

    or your Event Viewer?

when you freeze, do you have to shut down with the power button?
