Re: XP mess Format C needed

thank for that advice.....i have been tryin for two days to get rid of it.

i 'll have another go or several and then im going to try this boot disk thingy that i got from www.bootdisk.com.
apparently it has a file in it that can help me make a FAT patition. However, im reluctant to do this alone as im not that brill

the program is called FDISK...have you heard of it?
can you offer any words of wisdom??
i think the idea is to createa partition and then format C: so i can start all over from scratch
it is on a win98 boot disk i got from the above site

    cheers for your advice

I just wanted to say this: It was amazing, like a miracle. I did repeatedly click on OK ten - fifteen times then stopped. Waited a few minutes nothing happened, although could hear that CD drive was moving. Almost going to turn off after another 5 minutes, all of a sudden install continued. Thanks for great tip.
