I created a boot disk and when I run from it, it goes straight into DOS, think thats right so far?

In DOS it goes into A:\> directory. I can't get into C:. I tried everything i can think of. Any ideas what will make it possible to get into C: directory?

FDISK doesnt work either?

P.S. Do i have to be in C: directory to format c drive or are u meant to do it from a:?

hi .if you reeboot and hit the delete key or f11 in some case's set your first boot device to your cd rom and hit f10(save and exit) answer yes then put in your xp cd and that will startup the installer for winxp.you will be asked if you want to install and format. easy
