running xp pro previous owner set up wrongly i think have 20gig hard disk c is partioned at 4gig and is now full d is partioned at 16 gig c is full and constantantly recieve loo disc warning cannotremove any more progams from c disc as do not have backup discs how can i createmore space on c can i transfer programmes from c to d egmicrosoft publisher and office if not what cani do to toavoid c low disk space many thanks

Move your page file to the D: drive. To do this:

Close all running programs.

Right-click on My Computer
Go to Properties
Go to Advanced
Click Performance Options

Change the paging file.

Highlight the C: drive. Set the minimum and maximum values to 50Mb and press Set.

Highlight the D: drive. Set the minimum value to 1024Mb and the maximum value to 2048Mb. Click Set.

Keep clicking OK until all the windows close down. Say OK when it asks if you want to restart now.
