Hello, I'm having one annoying problem. Recently I started having this problem written in the title. I open some YouTube videos and watch it normally, after sometime everything freezes and a BSOD appears telling me that watchdog.sys caused this. Sometimes it doesn't happen and I can watch videos with no problems at all and sometimes I get the BSOD. Few times it happened when I was changing from normal screen to full screen or when skipping through the video.
What should I do? Thanks in advance.
This seems to be your solution:
Disable flashplayer 'hardware acceleration':
Adobe - Flash Player : Help - Display Settings
[see: How can I display this panel again?]
Problem Description:
Windows XP Blue Screen Youtube All Browsers - CNET Windows XP Forums
It seems the problem comes from hardware acceleration that Flash v10 uses (I didn't have the problem with v9)
So first, check if you can see the Flash animation (banner) without the system crashing at:
Adobe - Flash Player
Don't worry, it's not a video, it shouldn't crash -- if it does, your problem is not the same as mine.
If it works without crashing, right-click on the Flash animation (banner) and uncheck "Enable hardware acceleration" from the Settings panel.
Then, go on Youtube and you should be able to see the videos without any problem
ok i did that although i hate disabling the Flash player "Hardware Acceleration" cuz the video quality gets affected. anyway will test it and let u know how it goes![]()
