Hi sorry to start a new thread, but the solutions did not fit my situation. so let me explain,
i have w7 on one half of my drive and installed xp on the other but yesterday it said invalid boot.ini file please reinstall system32\ntoskrnl.exe because it is either missing or corrupt.
i tried the given solutions but none worked then decided to format the partition and install anew but then it told me again the file is missing or corrupt
the only way for me to start up in w7 is to run the w7 system repair disc back-to-back and let it start up normally from there but as soon as it try to install xp boot.ini. file is missing again !!!
Please help

What is the make and model of your internet modem?

Hi thank you for responding but i have already tried that and it says boot.ini file is missing or corrupt
but i gave up and decide to install something else instead
