Is it possible to have reminder appear on the desktop after boot up?? I would like to have a reminder appear on the desktop screen a few days before the event is to happen. Can I do this? Any advice would be welcome.

There are many calendar programs you can schedule appointments that will remind you before hand. I've been using Outlook for many years to keep track of nearly everything. But it is not free.

There are many to choose from as seen here. I recommend you pick one that interest you, then plug its name and the word "review" into your favorite search engine and read what folks are saying.

Note to have it remind you upon boot, the calendar program must be configured to "start with Windows", and that may be a one-time setting you will have to do.
