I keep getting error message: "Internet Explorer has terminated in unusal way" while connected to some sites. What does this mean? This happens when connected to Google search, Hot Mail, Game Show Network & others. Only happens for one user of this computer.

Sadly, you did not tell us which version of IE. Assuming IE8, which is where you should be with XP, note that most problems with IE are due to conflicting or misbehaving add-ons. So I recommend you reset IE via Tools > Internet Options > Advanced, then click the reset button.
