Hello
Can someone help me please, my friend has got a problem at boot up, he turns the pc on and it starts to boot but then stops then you have a black screen with white letters and at the bottom it says "press f2 to run setup" "press f1 to load default values and continue"
f1 allows it to carry on loading, now if he shuts down the pc and starts it again within 1 hour or so it boots up straight away but if it is left longer then he has to go through the f1 performance again, he is ruining win xp pro.

What does the message say other than the keys to press? Please tell us more about his computer. Has he tried safe mode?
