Can't adjust resolution after reinstallation of Windows XP

    Hello,

I'm new here, and i have a problem with trying to adjust the resolution on my computer.

I've previously searched for a similar problem to mine here on DAL, and the general recommendation is to download and run the video/ graphics driver. When i tried to download and run the driver, it tells me that the resolution must be set at 800x600 at the very least. so it's a tricky situation for me here, where i can't run a driver update because i can't adjust the resolution due to the fact that the computer won't let me in the first place.

    please help.

BTW, I've tried to do a DAL hardware scan, but for some reason nothing appears in the pop-up window. The mother board I'm running is AOpen MX4GER. hope this helps.

    thanks in advance

What is the make and model number of your computer? Is it a desktop or laptop?

Where are you trying to download the driver from? Normally you would get it from the manufacturers download support page.

    thanks for replying

the make of the model isn't clear. It was brought back by my brother after he completed his research in Tokyo. It looks like one of those self-build pc. would i be able to look for such info in windows?
