HI, randomly I recieved the message:The ati2dvag display driver has stopped working normally. Save your work and reboot the system to restore full display functionality. The next time you reboot the machine a dialog will be displayed giving you a chance to upload data about this failure to Microsoft." I have no idea what to make of it. I havn't downloaded or changed anything on this PC desktop...does any one know why this is happening and how to repair it? the machine is pretty useles now with out a remedy.

Found this:in a tomshardware.com thread.I had to completely disable ATI External Event Utility in order to alleviate the issue. Here is how: 1. Go to run command 2. Type in services.msc 3. Find ATI External Event Utility and right-click for properties. 4. In properties under "startup type" select disable. I have not noticed any decline in performance or anything else negative. That does not mean that disabling it might not cause other related issues. If this does not solve your issue, you may as well go back and enable ATI External Event Utility.

I don't know (or believe) that "ATI External Event Utility" is required. It seems "The ati2dvag display driver has stopped working normally" calls for an up to date driver.
