I am getting a "new" computer next week ... a refurbished Dell with windows XP.

My current Dell has windows XP..I could not afford a new state of the art ... however

Pentium 4 / 3.4 ghz and 2 G RAM ( plus I will transfer the 768 I have now ) will be plenty

of power for the programs and games I run now.

I am transferring pictures and a few games onto an external ... that is easy.

My main concern are my settings for IE 8 and Google Chrome.

Should I transfer the entire program folder, or reinstall ... but then I need to know what I

need to transfer to keep my bookmarks, cookies, and settings.
