    Lost software/driver

    I am trying to install my canon canoscan FB630U scanner on my new computer and have lost the disc for the install. Can someone please assist me with that? I saw a post from someone named GARY and I have experienced just about the same results as he did with a similar scanner, but I'm sure the second link that was given to him will be different for my scanner. Thanks for any help.

    Thanks Bear!!!! This is the closest I've been all day! Almost worked!..........I received a message that said the new driver was finished downloading, but my computer doesn't recognize it, even when I put in the specific location manually. Any ideas? ps. Thank you, I'm glad I joined.

    What happens when you double click on the file to install it?
    Did you disconnect the scanner from the computer?

    In most cases USB devices will need to be disconnected and not reconnected until prompted by the software (Driver) installation.

    Actually, you were correct from the beginning. I only downloaded the driver, but then went back to the sight to download the toolbox - ScanGear Toolbox v223. Once the computer had the toolbox, it was able to recognize the driver. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!! I don't think I could have gotten it handled today without you!
