i have a dell desktop I am unable to get passed the start up sceen so i was told to start in safe mood under last known good configuration so I did i did finally got my desk top back up but the start button is missing . i read and i did task mgr and new file and typy exploer.ex but nothing happend. Then i tried to find my system restore but coulndt find it and then all icons went blank. i am trying to bring it back up the same way does anybody have any idea what i need to do when i get it back up? Thanks please make it simple as possable with step by step instructions.

blue but then my desk top comes up so far nothing but my background picture no icons of any kind

ok icons just pop up but no start button any way to do a system restore with no start button
