Is there a way to run commercial software such as Photoshop on parallel computers? I have 4 nonidentical xp computers and would like to run them in parallel for model rendering and photo editing.

It is possible, but not practical. For one, it takes a pretty sophisticated controlling computer and software and networking making it not only impractical at your level, but not cost effective either. Now if you had dozens or 100s of spare computers, then it might be worth it.
