Hi all

I have an acer laptop with Windows XP operating system and am having some issues with audio.

Whenever I play DVD's the sound keeps dipping intermittently.

Any ideas folks?

Are you using a "stock" Acer audio driver? If so, have you tried reinstalling it again?

Please list your exact Acer Model Number.

Forgive me but how would I get that information?

There should be a sticker on the bottom of the machine indicating the Model. Then, at the bottom of this page

Acer Support: Welcome to Acer Support

click on Driver Downloads. Then click on Notebook (as per information provided in your post so far) and click down through the choices until you get to the drivers for your model.

I've located the info and downloaded the correct update.

I have now unzipped the file and am faced with a folder full of different things - see attached image.

Run the SETUP.EXE file.

That seems to have done the trick.
