    Talking Audio Driver Help?

Hi i had the audio driver realtek . A couple days ago everytime i played anything with sound i would hear everything high pitched. I found out it was because i used those speakers on my labtop and kept switching back and forth from my labtop to my desktop so some error happend. I thought it was realtek's fault, so i deleted realtek. Now i dont know how to get it back and please help thank you so much Oh for further information i have windows xp, 32 bit my computer is emachines (intel) gateway model T5212 THANK U SO MUCH

Do a System Restore to a date before you deleted the Realtek device, that should fix the problem.

Sadly, I tried but on the date that happend the whole week had no restore points. When i try to go to an earlier month it wont let me.

What is the make and model number of your computer? Should be able to download the latest audio driver from the manufacturers web site.

Rats, make and model already provided, sorry.

Dan, his post says emachines (intel) gateway model T5212 (confused me when I read it too) so I think he needs this one instead: eMachines Support - Downloads & Support Documents - Desktop / T Series / T5212

Either should work. I chose the Gateway drivers as the original poster mentioned RealTek. I started my search with the T5212 and RealTek parameters which led me to the drivers/site I posted.

On my Gateway/eMachine computer, I can choose from five sound drivers. I chose IDT as I like the functionality better.
