I received an email from a friend warning about some type of virus going around, and then all of a sudden my anti virus (AVG) starts ringing every time I'm on the web. I'm not sure if it's just a coincidence.

I ran Malware and AVG, and it comes up clean, but when I go online, it starts ringing again. Please help.
