just 3 hours ago java was working but at a high pross so i wanted to see what the problem was so i deleted java from the c:/programs files and i went to java.com: Java + You and tried to install it and when i did this. this is what came up/ Another version of this product is already installed. installation of this version cannot continue. to configure or remove the existing version of this product. use Add/remove programs on the control panel./ so i did that and this is what it said./ fatal error during installation./ so i get annoyed with this after many times and gave up if any body any body could tell me why this crap is doing this to me i would be most thank full. im ruining a xp pro 32bit sp-3

You're mistake was deleting the Java files under C:\Programs. You should have uninstalled Java from Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs.

OK i downloaded the java msi fix beta and it gave me a unknown error #87 what ever that is
