I know this may sound stupid, but the notepad window appears every time iI boot up. It didn't use to, but now I can't stop it appearing at boot up. Any ideas how to stop it please??

Did you look in your Start menu's Startup folder to see if it is in there?

Well, it would not hurt to update and run through your security scanners, just to be sure it was a fluke, and not something malicious.

Thanks for the advice. Ive just run Malwarebytes and other antispyware and nothing appears to be amiss. The notepad has stopped appearing now so all's well with the world again. Thanks again, Digerati.
