Free Anti Virus seems to have stopped my Computer Booting up

I have been using this Free Anti Virus for years without any problems but when I went to update it, it kept booting up continuously and gave me the same sort of simptoms that you get with Blaster Worm.

In fact I thought it was Blaster Worm as it gives you a continuous rolling boot.

Having thoroughly formatted the drive which took ages, everything was fine until I installed this Free Anti virus again.

Then the rolling boot started all over again, so I am 99.9% certain its this Free Antivirus thats doing it.

As I have hot swappable hard drives, the same thing happened with them.

As soon as I got a message to say my virus was out of date, as soon as I tried to update it, I got the rolling boot on those as well.

One of those drive contains a newly built website which took months to build.

So my question is How do I get my Computer to boot up, so I can get this anti virus off and rescue my Website, as I cannot stop my Computer from continually booting up!

In the event that someone is able to help could you please recommend a good free antivirus.

I am not a 'Techie' but I know a little bit, so a simple description of what to do would be appreciated.

I have since found some warnings about this Free Anti Virus and the need to turn off automatic updates.

Obviously I cannot do that at the moment, such a shame about this as this Anti Virus has always been my favorite.

Please can someone help been all weekend trying to fix this problem.

    Many Thanks

    John

What is the actual name of that anti-virus and do you have a link to it? There are many fake anti-malware programs out there and without being sure if this one is legit, you might want to have one of our Malware Removal experts take a look. Please read this then start a new topic here.
