my OS is winXP, and IE8
I received today by e-mail a 1.7 Mb .jpg file, but when trying to open it I receive an error message saying “can't read the file header. Unknown file format or file not found!”.
I tried to attach the file here but it didn’t work for some reason.
What can be done? Is there any program which can repair a corrupted header?

What program do you usually use to view jpg files? Can you open other jpg files? If so, have the sender verify the file is good, then send it again.
