Re: ialmdev5.DLL Issue. Please help~!
??? I didn't delete any post?
I noticed you are only at SP2 instead of SP3, why?
Also, from the same Dell web site, try installing the latest Video driver, perhaps that will help.

Windows Automatic Updates installed some service pack 3 thing, and I updated all my drivers from doing a scan on the website. So far, My sims is working like it used to before it crashed
-
Excellent. SP3 was the next thing I was going to suggest.

Oh and about the deleted post, it was about some other user who posted and then deleted his post O:
Anyways, thank you so much for you help! I really appreciate it.

nope wait--- Damn it. It crashed again, the blue screen came up again after like three hours of having the sims 3 running.

If the game is important to you, I would seriously consider backing up your data and starting over again, with a Clean Install of XP. Good instructions here:
Clean Install - Michael Stevens Tech
How to Reformat and Reinstall your Operating System - WhatTheTech
If you decide to do this, please do it as follows:
1. Clean Install XP
2. Install any needed device drivers
3. Install Service Pack 3
4. Install all updates
Install the game and see how it runs. I would wait to run it until you've done all the above.
Lastly, restore your data, install your programs. Test after each major install.
SP3 is a large download so I would download the redistributable .exe ahead of time and save it somewhere.

What if that doesn't work?

If reinstalling the operating system doesn't resolve the problem then maybe it's caused by hardware.
Video card is going bad or needs an updated driver?
Defective memory?
Hard drive problem?
System board problem (original ialmdev5.DLL - chipset driver problem)?
