The first place to check is your clock setting
An how to on this can be found here http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/u.../setclock.mspx
The second place to check this is in the Bios
Is the time and date set correctly there?
If you need help on the second option please post back

If the date and time in BIOS Setup Menu keeps resetting, it most likely means the CMOS battery is too weak to hold the settings. Although new batteries can go bad, I am assuming this computer is several years old. To replace the battery, unplug the computer from the wall, open the side panel and touch bare metal of the case to discharge any static in your body. Then, note the polarity and pry out the battery - it will look like a silver coin - with your thumb nail or some non-conductive device. Replacements can be found at most battery/camera/watch counters. Take the old battery with you as most places will recycle them. Do not touch the new battery with your bare fingers as skin oils promote corrosion and attract dust. I put a clean sock over my hand. Observing polarity, touch bare metal again to discharge static and insert the new battery. Boot immediately into the BIOS Setup Menu and set the date and time, then, Save and Exit to boot normally. Hopefully, that will do the trick.
