Here is my system:

XP with SP3
Gigabyte mobo with AMD Athlon 1.75GHz with 768mb of RAM and 800 watt PS
Nivida GeForce 7300 GT with 512mb Ram
Sound Blaster Live 5.0
I have all current Drivers and heat isn't a problem

Here is what's going on I updated my OS from vanilla XP to XP SP3 so that I can stream netflix to pc, since this I can not only stream netflix nothing in a video or any games will work My pc will hard crash and I have to reboot to get it back, also during the crash I get a constant high pitched sound in the speakers. I did try to run the DirectX Diagnostic tool and no problems till I tried the 3D test to where I got a hard crash again, also after I recovered by reboot, I also found that I had an issue with the test of sound around the 20th sound test.

I have no idea where to go next.

If by Vanilla XP you meant XP with no service pack then you would have to install SP 1 or 2 before installing SP 3. From here:

In order to install SP3, you must first have Windows XP Service Pack 1a (SP1a) or Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed.

If this is applicable to you please uninstall 3 and then install SP 2 before installing 3. Hopefully that will correct your problem. Also after installing SP 3 make sure that you have the most up to date drivers.

Yes Sir, I installed SP2 then I received SP3 through Microsoft

Have you tried updating your drivers?

If you tell use more about your motherboard (namely the model number) we should be able to help you find them.

it's a Gigabyte 7VT600-RZ and I have all updated Drivers to all the hardware
