This is my first post so hope i have done the right thing. Reader9 works and shows the downloaded image but IT FIRST SHOWS "IN FOCUS" AND AFTER A SECOND OR SO BLURRS SO THAT IT IS UNREADABLE.
Ithink it may be a switch doing it but how do I fix it

Peter, the first thing I would do is uninstall then reinstall Adobe Reader 9, see if that helps.

Personally, I can't stand Adobe Reader. On my system I prefer to use Foxit Reader as an alternative. It will handle most pdf's. It is smaller so it takes up less hard drive space and it loads faster. It also uses less memory. Give it a shot.

I agree with townsbg. Foxit is much better and not bloated like Adobe Acrobat.

Yeah really. The newest version of Adobe reader installs at several hundred MB while Foxit Read installs at only 3.89 mb (according to Programs and features).
