Adobe wont load onto my XP system
As the title, I cant update any of the Adobe programs on my XP operating pc.
I can go through all the rigmarole of updating it, just once the update is done, when you go to use, say flash player, it redirects you to download the very same update again.
If I try to update acrobat reader, it spends ages loading, downloading etc, then when you click on install, it gets 95% the way through the process, then reports that I need to contact the administrator ( which I am ) and then it uninstalls the update.
Its all very annoying as it used to all work perfectly, now it wont.

Hi Crewie,
Go into Control Panel and then Add Or Remove Programs. In the list of installed applications, see if you have Adobe Download Manager or some other kind of Adobe software updater. If you have, uninstall it. Reboot the PC and then clear the temporary files folders:
1. Go to Start Menu > Run and type in c:\windows\temp and click OK. Delete as much as you are able to from this folder. Often you'll get an error saying that a file can't be deleted - select all files apart from the file described in the error and then try to delete the rest. Repeat as often as needed.
2. Go to Start Menu > Run and type in %temp% and click OK. On most PCs, this will show you a different folder containing temporary files. Delete as much as you are able to from this folder. Often you'll get an error saying that a file can't be deleted - select all files apart from the file described in the error and then try to delete the rest. Repeat as often as needed.
Reboot again and then try to update Adobe (Acrobat) Reader.
Let us know whether or not that helps
