I set Winamp as my default media player in "Set program access and defaults".

If I then use iTunes to update my iPhone and return to the "Set program access and defaults" its gone back to "use my current media player" and all my mp3 file icons have changed from winamp to iTunes.

Well, I don't use iTunes, but my "guess" is there is a setting in iTunes that is set to change the defaults. I would look through your iTunes menu options.

Well, it would be good if you told us how you sorted it out so we all can learn from the experience and other readers with the same problem can benefit too.

Just as you said,I checked prefererces in iTunes and it was set as my default player.I removed the tick and reset winamp.
